I think that, maybe, Robbie was too much for Ken and Jennifer, that he was someone they simply couldn’t reach, his wounds were so deep. That was the thing with those two – I think they often felt a sense of responsibility, that they had to be able to do it all, you know? To right all the wrongs, to save everyone. Perhaps Robbie was someone that they simply couldn’t save.

The Hartleys have been silent since the murder of Sidney Parsons. Despite the best efforts of the tabloid press, they’ve maintained a very low profile, only appearing at the sentencing of the two boys and making no statements. And as they won’t discuss the issue with Will, it’s hard to say whether they believed this idea of possession or not.
